Ok so I'm new. But still and as such might have missed features. But I'm trying to search before posting...

This, being a collaboration DAW/service, I find it bit odd that I can't
find any intuitive way of searching projects and possible collab
partners...

I don't get the order by which project are published as for now? you
should be able to chose order of display by date(first publication and
latest update dates should be displayed?), number of members, "Likes",
etc..

I would obviously want to be able to browse, by categories, both projects and profiles...

It'd also be nice if one could set out specially sought after
"competence" for a project. Say by instrument (bassplayer, drummer
etc..) or engineering skills (producer, mixing, mastering). - this
should also be searchable categories.

Am I just missing obvious features that are already available or are these yet to be implemented?

Any one is of course free to join in for more suggestions.

Perhaps I've missed something in the set-up, but when I log in I am the only person in the chatroom and there are no public projects visible! I'm sure something is wrong!

Play Engine

I seem to be having trouble using EWQL Play engine as a plugin. Ohm Studio has recognised it, but when added to the rack I just get a white box as a pop up. Other software synths/libraries I have seem to load up fine. Any help would be much appreciated!!

My account seem to be inaccessible. No projects, No emails, Unable to change password, Unable to open new projects and access them. I cannot leave the welcome page.

What is happening?

"Glass Encased Brain" would not bounce to project page

Hi guys...

We've (me and Jamie) have 'Brain' like 90% done, but I wanted to bounce a copy to my

project page...in the middle of the bounce, it stopped half way and the dreaded 'dos prompt error' thing came up

I had to cancel it...

Then logged out and back in and tried it again...this time no 'error' message' and it finished,

but when I went to my project page....it did not bounce down....

any ideas?

hmm. well. bug reporter crashed for me again...

was going to report that Some of my plugins fails to show up in the VST list after the update. same onces as before , suposebly
ok plugins: ALbino3, BLue, LoungeLizard, play.
I haw al these in sub folders and last week when having the same problem got them to load by adding tese sub folder in the "look for vst list"... now that dont seem to work either...

Ok guys, here it is...my big question....the taco of all tacos...

just kidding, its just an observation...

anyway...When a songwriter writes and records a song (with the help of very talented people)...and the songwriter sets the song up the way he wants the song heard...he freezes plugins (that others may not have), he adds effects to some tracks (and has to freeze those also for people who may not have the same effect plugin and he sets up a mix, etc.....the invitee should arrive at the party and not have to worry about which rack/track/plugin to hit the speaker button so he/she can hear the track...right?...it seems that when I invite someone to hear something, they most times, have to hit a speaker button, or forget to hit a speaker button, or not even know they are supposed to hit a speaker button, to hear the song as it was meant to be heard....

Isnt this kind of putting a lot of responsibility on the invitee?....I mean, I invite like PLJ..over to hear "Glass Encased Brain" ... when he hits play, after the song loads, he should be able to hear the song as we meant him to hear it....without having to go thru the list of racks/tracks and find and hit the speaker button, so he can hear the track/rack...

Am Im totally missing the mark here?...Im probably overlooking something (as I always do) that I needed to do to set the song up for others to hear....

I just think the invitee should be able to go into a song by someone and not have to worry about hitting the speaker button to hear the song properly ....

please tell me what you guys think about this and if Im totally missing something...

(also on a different note...he he...'Brain still wont let me 'bounce to project page....it will let me batch bounce to my desktop...but not to the project page...it stops half way thru and then the dreaded ms dos error flashes by...and it hangs....)....

finding the sidechain on the cohmpex has a slight click... perhpas the attack time could have a smaller time - 0.01 ms would be nice imho >>>

Hey guys,

I was wondering ... is it normal that everytime I log out/exit Ohmstudio, it leaves a ohmstudio/guest/mp.exe in my task manager processes? (Windows 7)...It would not matter to me if it did, other than the fact that I cant hear any other 'sound/music' program that I may start after logging out of Ohmstudio...all I have to do is go into the task manager/process and 'kill' (harsh word) Ohmstudio....I dont like 'killing' Ohmstudio...

Even if I go right back into Ohmstudio...it gives me the ms dos error flash screen then logs in normally...but I dont like that screen, so I always exit Ohmstudio right away...then when I go back into Ohmstudio a second time, it loads normally, with no ms dos error flash thingy....weird..huh?....

Back in! - but various issues

Ok so I'm back in - Lots (of work/study) to do, some frustration with not getting my complete VST folder to be scenned etc have kept me away...
God news (seemingly) : I can now hav OHMS scan my complete VST folder (after removing FLS (multi)) and NOT hang!
Bad News: Previously working plugins, among them stock and favourites: Albino, Blue and LoungeLizzard are not being found(??) /
does not appear in the plugin list ???!?!?(do you se my big crocodile tears here?) (niether does amplitube 3??)
(i've just back in so i haven't checked my whole list yet)

any suggestion of caches / reg files to clean to see if i can make them work/be found again??

also. did a search on "midi-file import" (in my case from EZ-drummer) any one knows if this is supported yet??? (rather i searched on ez-drummer and came upon a post saying midi import/drag n' drop was not supported yet...)

A Minor Profile Issue

Basically just that when you change your nickname it doesn't change in any comments you've made which could create major problems.

I'm using Firefox 11.0

Another issue is that I can't seem to delete comments on my profile (that i have posted at least )

I joined like you guys in trying this software out and mine won't even install.It crashes out before it finishes.So I mentioned it on here but no reply or interest so from that point of view OhmStudio is a non starter.If no one can be arsed to explain to get back to me and see what the problem may be then they don't deserve my money.As a long time Sonar/Ableton user I was interested to see how this baby performed but if it won't even install what's the point.I should point out that this is on a dedicated music PC, not a laptop or home computer.Looks like some of you are enjoying it but for me you can forget it!If Ohms customer service is the same as their beta products then I wouldn't go near itAbleton has the second best customer service I've come across, (Renoise is first) and it won me over and it looks like I'll be staying with the big boys.Dave

HELP!!! OhmS Crash

Well this hasn't happened in a long while...

But...

I was working on Ohmstudio 4/2 (April 2nd 5:20 pacific time) ...and imported an audio track, I had to do off site with Halion 4...

Ok..imported the audio track...

then hit play...it played about 10 bars then...got the Ohmstudio mp crash error...not the 'Guest" error ... the other one...

so I tried to log back in...and it will let me get to the Dashboard for about 3 seconds, then I get the same crash error message and Ohmstudio shuts down...

I tried over and over again to get back in...but always the same thing...

log in..ok...loads the dashboard...ok...wait 3 seconds....then CRASH!!...Ive never seen this type crash before...and now Im can't get back in....

I was working on the song "Glass Encased Brain" (if this makes a difference).....

Love the new update...man needed the snap to grid...now its so easy to go to the beginning of a measure...I needed that one badly....and also the edit button that puts you right where you want to be...actually the last two updates have been my favorites...

the new dashboard and zoom is killer, much better...great job fellas...
