On Sunday the Seattle Seahawks slipped into
•  one of the two
NFC Wild Card spots by destroying the San Francisco 49ers
43-16 Justin
Coleman Color Rush Jersey , and had a lot of fun doing so. The wide
receivers continued to have great touchdown celebrations, Chris Carson continued
to break tackles carrying the ball and Bobby Wagner had another amazing game.
And, as every week, Twitter reacted. So, without beating around the bush, let’s
get to some reactions. And apparently Richard Sherman wasn’t the only former
Seahawk who didn’t have an enjoyable day at the CLink. This may be the only list
where these two teams are even close. And then there were the wide receivers
doing their touchdown celebrations, which speak for themselves. How important
are these touchdown celebrations to the Seahawks? Well, as former Field Gulls
author Samuel Gold noted Sunday afternoon, the Hawks are
professionals Russell
Wilson Color Rush Jersey , and professionals practice their skills. Which
is exactly what cameras caught David Moore doing during the game. But the wide
receivers weren’t the only ones getting into the end zone. Linebacker Bobby
Wagner had the longest touchdown of the day in the fourth quarter. Sunday was
just another example of how amazing Bobby Wagner is, as he led all defensive
players with 12 tackles, recorded his first sack of the season, had a forced
fumble (that he recovered) and the interception return for a touchdown. And he
batted two passes. He’s really, really good. But,somehow he’s not leading the
league in Pro Bowl votes for inside linebacker. He’s not even in first place in
the conference. During the offseason many fans were worried about where the
touchdown production would come from with both Paul Richardson and Jimmy Graham
leaving. Well, that’s not a question the team faces anymore. Lockett wasn’t the
only one padding stats against the 49ers, as Chris Carson continues to work
closer and closer to becoming the first 1,000 yard rusher for the Seahawks since
Marshawn in 2013 (though this highlight is a pass reception on which we get to
watch him truck a 49er at high speed in the open field). Carson now has704
rushing yards on the
season Brandon
Marshall Color Rush Jersey , so needs 296 over the final four weeks of the
season to reach a thousand. As noted, with the victory, the Seahawks
accomplished two things. First, the 49ers are now the first NFC that is
mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. With a 2-10 record and four
games to go they now max out at 6 wins, while the final Wild Card spot is
currently occupied by the 6.5 win Minnesota Vikings who come to town next
weekend. That could change if the Washington Redskins win Monday against the
Philadelphia Eagles. But before I close this out, let’s go ahead and get some
more reactions from the 49ers side. How bad are the 49ers? Well, even fans of
the 4-8 Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bashing the Niners. Even fans of the Green Bay
Packers, who have a shiny new interim coach, are piling on.
However Cortez
Kennedy Color Rush Jersey , regardless of how the Monday game turns out,
the Seahawks are guaranteed to enter Week 14 in one of the two NFC Wild Card
spots. RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks are keeping a couple of key
pieces from last season’s playoff team while adding to their offensive line. The
Seahawks announced a pair of signings on Thursday, including keeping linebacker
K.J. Wright with the only NFL team he’s ever played for. Seattle also announced
the signing of offensive lineman Mike Iupati to a one-year deal to replace the
loss of J.R. Sweezy in free agency.Seattle also reached agreement on a two-year
deal with offensive linemen D.J. Fluker, according to a person with knowledge of
the deal, the Seahawks. The person spoke to The Associated Press on the
condition of anonymity on because the team had not announced the deal.It was a
busy second day of the league year for the Seahawks after being mostly quiet in
the early stages of free agency.Fluker was a key influence in Seattle’s
resurgence as the top running team in the NFL. The veteran dealt with leg
injuries at times during the season, but appeared in 10 games for the
Seahawks.Retaining Fluker and the addition of Iupati will help bolster the depth
on an offensive line that finally solidified last season and led to significant
improvement with Seattle’s offense. Iupati was a Pro Bowl selection in four
straight seasons from 2012-15 and has played for division rivals San Francisco
and Arizona. Iupati was an All-Pro selection in 2012.“They’re a winning team,”
Iupati said in a statement from the team. “They’ve been competitors and
contenders for the nine years I’ve been in the league. It’s close to home, and
Mike Solari is also one of the biggest reasons I wanted to come here because he
was my coach in (San Francisco). He’s awesome.”Wright is one of the few
remaining holdovers from Seattle’s Super Bowl championship team and helps a
linebackers group that could be among the best in the league if healthy and
available Shaun
Alexander Color Rush Jersey , teaming with Bobby Wagner and Mychal
Kendricks. Wright’s deal is for two seasons.Wright’s future was uncertain after
an injury-filled 2018 season where he played in just five games due to a knee
injury in the final year of his current contract. Before the injury troubles of
last season, Wright was incredibly durable for Seattle having started 63 of the
previous 64 regular season games. Wright, who will turn 30 years old this
summer, was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2016 when he had 124 tackles and four
sacks.Wright said at the end of last season he intended to test the free agent
market to see where his value stood. But he also had indicated a desire to play
his entire career in one place and continue to team with Wagner.“I want to end
my career as a Seahawk, but it’s a business,” Wright said at the end of the
season. “. This is my first time, I never went through (free agency) before.
We’ve just got to see when that time comes.”Seattle also announced the signing
of Pro Bowl kicker Jason Myers in the hope he will help solve issues in the
Seahawks’ kicking game the past two seasons.
