Features Request
  • Any news about v2? In DAW time, it's been 'years' (also in real time :)  ) since we heard back from ohmstudio. I bought it to show my support because it's a great idea. But at this pace, Bitwig, cubase, etc will release a collaboration feature faster than Ohmstudio would release a DAW with feature parity to the desktop-only crowd.
  • As a software to collaborate with people all over the world, specially with music, OHM is missing few major and very important parts.

1 - Timeline Marking - So everyone will have a clue about the structure of the song.
2 - Timeline Chord TAB, at least, so everyone has some clue on the key and scale of the song.
3 - Only admin can delete anything on the timeline, including tracks. Contributors can only delete patterns they have added, private or public. This avoids lots of heartache of people deleting hard work, accidentally or intentionally.

    Optional:
1 - Having the option to have track inserts to audio interface output and input, for people who like to use hardware gear to process audio.
2 - Sub Mix out. Similar to current Aux Send, but it goes to a Sub Mix for headphone mix out, to allow a musician to have different mix to the admin master bus mix.

    Just my input for V2.
  • Is there really a V2 under construction ?
  • We need better VST automation handling. Better drawing tools and curves and lines and points. Look at the great automation implementations in other daws like: Studio One, FLStudio, Reason, Bitwig. - and please note that it is really a mistake that you are adding Video to version 2 when there are so many much more important audio and midi functionalities that your DAW currently lacks and that we could absolutely do with.
  • Lots of VST just doesn't work...
Despite what the developpement team is saying, this product is dying.
  • I migrated to UAD and ... well... The least I can say is that UAD is not a good pal with ohmstudio. The problem arises even without any plugin. It's pretty unstable, crackles, freeze and co.
And indeed, if the DAW is more or less usable, each time I try an UAD plugin, it crashed!
  • Synchro Play. Can u add please a Synchro Play. This is very usefull in order to listen all the musicians the same part (cicle). For example to listen a cariation in a plugin (compressor o chorus, etc).
    Thanks
  • Pleasant post. I get the hang of something all the more difficult on various online journals regular.

  • Hi I'm not sure if your still taking Feature Requests, but this is I guess a fix and request in one.
Minihost Modular allows for VST3's to be loaded, and when used with jbridge the 64bit VST3's and other plugins which may have issue with ohm will work too.

Although Minihost Modular won't bounce down, everything works great in ohm with it execpt it won't bounce.

Is their anything you could do your end to fix this? Because Minihost Modular is a free beta and opens up options to more to get their fav plugins in use.

Have you made a 64bit bridge for ohm or would that be something possible?

    Thanks OHM Force.
  • Another request would be in the inspector, where we can select all tracks created by a person, but the ability to Solo or Mute all tracks created by a user would be very useful.

    Thanks OHMies.

I believe both these requests are great suggestions I've been waiting for an answer for a long time, with no response. If and when 64bit VST and VST3 gets supported, I'll be the first to subscribe to the monthly subscription.
But can't see it happening anytime soon.
  • One thing which would be awesome for all, I don't know if I'd use it as much as other sbut a Rack Lock, so it couldn't be bounced to a new track or selected on multiple track out but was included in master mixdown. But Master mixdown by admin or other admins could export the racks couldn't' be stolen, edited or copied by anyone other than a admin.

I'm sure this has been on ya todo list for ages but if ya do do then this would be something which would make many people including many new users happy and worried their work would be stolen. It's a big put of for a lot of new users because many are very worried there work will be stolen.

Minihost has an issue bouncing audio now, maybe since one of it's updates.
Anyway I can use Waves, VST3 32bit and 64bit with a combination of jbridge and MetaPlugin.
Unfortunately both aren't free but the price of both is very reasonable. Helps on all daws too, specially for getting old vst3 32bit working too which is now becoming obsolete on some daws. :(
Most 32bit will be fine but a few 64bit which have big sample libraries and load to mem will want to be 64bit and some vst2 plugins are starting to become vst3 64bit only, but jbridge and meta plugin sorts it. Minihost works great too but don't bounce audio no more.
