Ohm Studio crashes constantly...
  • Hello good people at Ohm Force and Ohm Studio,

I´ve already talked with Red Force about this issue and my main problem is that Ohm Studio crashes constantly and no work can be done.

I´ve been away for a while and hoping that when I come back the application to be more stable. It has worked in the past, not flawlessly but good enough to get some work done. I´ve not changed anything in my setup since then.

I´ve recorded a couple of small videos for you to see exactly what is happening. So, here we go:

Red Force mentioned that it could be a sound card driver issue. I use a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB but while recording the videos I tried ASIO4ALL and Windows Direct Sound with the same result.

I´m Windows 7 64Bit and like I said previously, it has worked in the past.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi, I have the same problem.

I've just installed, I also have a saffire interface and win7.

As soon as I launch the program it seems to crash because of vsts, It has blocked the bad one but still crashes.
  • Hello.

You are the 3rd and 4th "testers" to report this issue with a Focusrite Saffire interface and the Windows version of Ohm Studio, so there's definitely a problem.

We'll try to obtain one Saffire interface for debugging purpose, but in the meantime, we'd appreciate it if you could follow the procedure described here to send us your logs by email:

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hello Orange Force and thank you for your reply.

Please note that in the second video, the (Focusrite Saffire) interface was not connected.

    Anyway, I´ve sent the logs.

    Hi leandro.

Can you please tell me which Saffire 6 USB version you're using:
    1. 6USB MkI - USB 1.1 tUSB chipset and Focusrite USB 1.1 driver
    2. 6USB MkII - USB 2.0 Xmos chipset and Focusrite USB 2.0 driver

    Thanks.
  • Hello Orange Force and thank you for your question.

I´m using the first version, USB 1.1

    Thank you.
