    =====================

    BETA #19 RELEASE NOTES:

    FEATURES ADDED:
    • Added mixer as default view mode; now you can either use this or the traditional gear panel, and switch between both via a single click;
    • As a consequence of the previous, there is now a Master track that is always visible in the mixer. By the same token, the notion of 'project output' – that might have confused some users – has gone away. Likewise, you can create as many Aux tracks as desired. Both Master and Aux tracks do not appear in the gear panel view.
    Note: Send values do not display for the moment, although they actually obey your commands. We apologize for this, it'll be corrected in the next release.

    FEATURES IMPROVED / BUG FIXES
    • In Preferences>Audio, you can no longer create several Audio outputs, which also used to confuse some of you.
    • Snap has been slightly improved;
    • Stickies work better, although there still remains some odd behaviors;
    • Some graphic cards that used to cause troubles are now compatible;
    • There should now be less disconnection from the server.

  • Any thing to note about r65415?
  • Hello Peter.

    It mainly fixes some bugs introduced in beta #19.
    Also the send level on the mixer now displays a value.
    And the tooltips have been rewritten so it might be a good idea reread them :)
    Last but not least, the audio engine now supports multicore CPU. Could you try and load your "drums for you" project and see if the audio output is still crackly as reported here

    thanks
  • Good news: no crackles on Drums for you, lots of readable tooltips
    Bad news: kicked out of the project on opening the inspector and trying to get some tooltips there.  Still crackles on Blue September Version 2.

    Here's a screen shot of Windows Task Manager for "Blue September Version 2":
    image

    Clearly using all four cores quite nicely.  (On Drums for you, I only saw two cores getting used heavily.)

    Hopefully some further tuning can resolve this.
  • Hum.  Did someone just "not" release a new version?

  • Hello Peter.

    Can you please try again?

    It should work now.
